So I'm sitting in the dining room of my brothers house in Cornelius, North Carolina typing on my sister-in-laws Sony Vaio. It's a cool little machine. Though my fingers are a little big for the keyboard. It's about 12:50pm here and about 9:50am in California. My trip out here was fairly uneventful. Surprisingly not a lot of people were on the flights. So that was nice. And luckily I got exit seats for both flights. Sam dropped me off at the airport at 10:15am and I left Ontario at 12:05pm pretty much on the button. I stopped off at Minnesota and arrived in North Carolina at 9:55pm. I got there and the girls were totally shocked to see me! I wasn't even sure if they'd even recognize me!
The next morning I woke up and got ready for church. I got to see my nephews that had been sleeping the night before. I went to church and ended up seeing more people then I had expected to know of me and where I came from. I explained that I was from the desert but it was rather funny when she asked if it was around Hesperia, Ca. I laughed cause that's exactly where I live but no ONE even in California knows where Hesperia, Ca. is. :D hehehehe She had known a family that was part of the church we went to before my dad became a pastor. I also had a lady introduce herself to me and asked if I remembered her. Her husband taught in the school we went to in Alaska! I didn't recognize her but I recognized him as the teacher who taught my older brothers and sister. After church we went out to lunch at a buffet and as we walked out I tripped that people were actually smoking inside! I am grateful that law was passed in California.
That evening my neices kicked out their parents and we had the night with the kids. We watched Finding Nemo after the girls did their performances for my video camera. It's kind of interesting to watch them perform. They were in bed before their parents got home and I stayed up late with Brenda watching tv.
I woke up this morning at 9:15! Gotta love it! I took my time getting ready. Now we're just hanging out around the house. The girls and Jack are at school. It's 12:46pm here. I'm definitely enjoying my vacation so far. Tomorrow the girls don't have school so we're hoping to get to the beach. :D YAY! I can't wait to see the Atlantic ocean from land. hehe We're still not sure how or when we're going to get to the Outer Banks where all the lighthouses are. I'm still hoping that will happen.
Well Brenda needs her machine. I'll try to update later in the week.
